Tramy Beauty School

We are located in area of San Diego area.  One campus is near downtown San Diego and the other is in Escondido. The San Diego campus has been accredited by the National Accrediting Commission of Career Arts and Sciences since 2009. We are licensed to operate by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education. Federal financial aid is available to students that qualify.  The school offers in-depth programs that provide the skills required to pursue licensure and long term employment upon completion.  The programs that we offer are: Cosmetology, Barber, Crossover Cosmetology, Crossover Barber, Cosmetician, Manicuring and Massage Therapy.

  • Our Cosmetology course incorporates extensive hands-on learning to provide you a complete understanding of beauty and wellness.   Our courses  use lectures, demonstrations and student participation which will help you demonstrate your competency in cosmetology theory and practice through mannequin repetitions and salon activities.  Our instruction will be supplemented with visual aids, student exercises, student presentation and other instructional techniques.   An important part of our educational program is to also prepare you with behavioral and people skill concepts such as attitude, communication, salesmanship, success psychology, job readiness and professionalism.  
    Upon graduation of the course, you’ll be prepared for a career as a hair stylist, platform artist, colorist, sales representative, salon manager or salon owner.

    Cosmetology course consists of technical instruction and practical operations covering all practices and constituting the art of cosmetology, as required by the State of California to apply for the license examination.
    Students in the Cosmetology program have the opportunity to work on a variety of people such as assisting them with shampoo and cut, perm, color and styling, manicures, pedicures, facials, and waxing.
    The Cosmetology course of study is designed to prepare students for the state licensing examination and for profitable employment as a Cosmetologist. All classes are taught by licensed instructors with many years of experience.

  • This course is designed to teach students all aspects of Barber and Styling. Barber and Styling refers to the performance of those techniques and arts, such as hair cutting, styling, shaving, massage, facial treatments, and the trimming of facial hair. Which make up the major services performed by a Barber and Stylist.  This program is measured in clock hours, where the student receives one clock hour for every hour in class.

      • Length: 1,500 Hours (15 months for most students)

    Barbering course consists of technical instruction and practical operations covering all practices and constituting the art of barbering, as required by the State of California to apply for the license examination.
    Students in the Barbering program can learn all aspects of the barber profession from clipper cutting, flat tops, fades, modern razor styling, shaves and steaming facials.
    The Barbering course of study is designed to prepare students for the state licensing examination and for profitable employment as a Barber. All classes are taught by licensed instructors with many years of experience.

  • If you are passionate, enjoy working with your hands and interacting with people, then a career as a Licensed Esthetician could be perfect for you! You can be on your way to a rewarding career within the beauty industry where you can put your talents to use.  Students enrolled in the Esthetics (Skin Care) program will receive practical training and technical instruction covering all aspects of Esthetics, including Skin Analysis, Facials, Hair Removal, Exfoliation, Make-up, Salon Management and State Board Training. You’ll also learn business skills, as well as health and safety practices.  The majority of training is acquired through real-life experience with guests. This format provides an exceptional learning experience that prepares students with a solid background in the skin care industry.  After program completion — in less than one year — you can follow your dreams to a lucrative career as a Licensed Esthetician.

      • Length: 600 Hours (6 months for most students)

    ESthetician course consists of technical instruction and practical operations covering the art of skin care (esthetics), as required by the State of California to apply for the license examination.
    Students in the Esthetician program can learn skin care techniques including manual facials, chemical facials, electrical facials, preparation, sanitation, waxing, tweezing, make up application and eyelash application. Our students will have the opportunity to receive hands-on instruction with real clients through our teaching salon.
    The Esthetician course of study is designed to prepare students for the state licensing examination and for profitable employment as an Esthetician. All classes are taught by licensed instructors with many years of experience.

  • We offer a comprehensive, world-class Massage Therapy Training program that prepares our graduates for a successful and flexible career in massage therapy.  

    Program Details:

      • Length: 600 Hours (6 months for most students)

    Massage Therapy course consists of technical instruction and practical operations covering all practices and constituting the art of Massage Therapy.
    Students in the Massage Therapy program can learn many different types of therapeutic massage techniques such as Swedish massage, trigger point therapy, shiatsu, sport massage and much more.
    The Massage Therapy course of study is designed to prepare students for the state licensing examination and for profitable employment as a Massage Therapist. All classes are taught by licensed instructors with many years of experience.

By enrolling in the Manicuring/Nail Technology program, you’ll learn both classic and creative techniques in nail design. The importance of having well-groomed nails and hands has always been a significant part of our culture. As a result, nail care is one of the fastest-growing services requested in salons.
    Manicuring and Nail Technology is more than a manicure or pedicure. Nail technology is the art and science of professional nails. You’ll learn the anatomy, physiology and pathology of nails and skin, nail beauty techniques, and how to use professional nail products.

    Program Details:
      • Estimated tuition and fees: $1,000*
      • Length: 400 Hours (4 months for most students)

    Manicurist course consists of technical instruction and practical operations covering the art of nail care (manicuring), as required by the State of California to apply for the license examination.
    Students in the manicurist program can learn basics of nail anatomy, physiology, and sanitation. More importantly, students will have the opportunity to receive hands-on instructions on manicures, pedicures, therapeutic massages, artificial nail application, and nail art designs. Then practice these techniques on clients in the school salon.
    The Manicurist course of study is designed to prepare students for the state licensing examination and for profitable employment as a Manicurist. All classes are taught by licensed instructors with many years of experience.

 

Federal Pell Grant

Pell Grant is the foundation of federal student aid. The amount of Pell Grant you can receive depends on your financial need, the cost of attendance at a school, and a student's Expected Family Contribution, Enrollment Status.   Unlike a loan, a Pell Grant does not have to be repaid.  For the 2013-14 award year, Pell Grant amounts will range from $602 to $5,645 per years. The student should work with the school's financial aid administrator for assistance in completing the application.

How to Apply

All students who have submitted a valid Free Application for Federal Student Aid(FAFSA) will be considered for Pell Grant. Please take the following steps in order to receive a copy of your financial application and be notified of the grant amount once eligibility is determined.

You must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at https://fafsa.ed.gov . You must include our Federal School code # 041692 when submitting your application.
